Dixie National Forest
The magnificent Dixie National Forest covers almost two million acres and nearly 170 miles of southern Utah's most amazing landscape. Practically all of Utah is either a Nationl Park, National Monument, National Forest or under control of the National Bureau of Land Management. Good to live in such a smart nation! If you're in southern Utah and you want to move about, you'll eventually encounter the Dixie National Forest.
Our experiences in Dixie NF have always been fast-paced, most often in Red Canyon on the way to Bryce Canyon, and along Scenic Highway 14, a road we call Aspen Drive. Red Canyon is along Scenic Highway 12 just a few miles from the turn toward Bryce. SH14 connects Interstate 15 in Ceadr City to Scenic Highway 89 at Tod's place. [Man, I love that whole area... just tuping about it makes me want to get in the car and start roaming those Scenic Highways.]
